Off to the Gold Coast!!!

After a few days in Brissie, I'm off to the Gold Coast! On Friday, I spent the day wandering around Brissie City. First stop, City Hall and Museum of Brisbane. There was an exhibition featuring photos of buildings, the photographer is someone who takes architectural pictures. After that, walked down Albert St to meet my friend who has got one and half hours off work and will direct me to QUT.

In the exhibition, there was quite a few pictures of really nice buildings at UQ, QUT obviously couldn't match those sandstone buildings but it is something of its own. Set right beside the botanical gardens, it is modernity meets tranquility. It also more than makes up for it with the old Parliament House smack in the middle of campus and the Parliament House right outside its gates. The Art Museum on the QUT campus is also an interesting thing, with pseudo chinese carvings at the top of four pillars and then a completely modern signage for the musuem right outside the building.

Met Dezzie at round half past seven and went for dinner at this restaurant on Queen St, the steaks are nothing to shout about but the oysters sure are good. We then went back to Joo Li's place, had a drink cause all her friends there are also drinking. (There was Lorna, Weena, Kah Hen, and John) After that, I got ready and we went out to Cesar's, and I must say, I prefer Fridays at Eagle St Pier.

After all's done, we proceeded to drive back to Gold Coast and slept till 1pm (what a waste of daylight...). After getting ready in the morn, we set off for Harbourtown which is really near his house. Had an amazing breakfast which dezz complains is too burnt, and probably because I was there cause I like stuff burnt. =p We then went grocery shopping and bought some doggy bones for the guard dog at his workplace.

Now we set off for a tour of Surfer's Paradise, which means driving through it. At the other end, I got a peek at Pacific Fair, and we stopped at the carpark outside Sea World for Dezz to get a fag and see the amazing sunset... After that, its one turn around and back to Palazzo Versace and Marina Mirage. Had a nice walk around the area and by God, the hotel sure rocks... wonder when will I get to stay in it and enjoy the luxury?

Am now back for a shower and dinner will be on soon...

to be cont.
