Without knowing it, I've been living here in Sydney for nearly three years, and my stay is coming to an end. Many have been asking me why I am not considering applying for PR and therefore staying on. My reasons may be selfish and somewhat the result of a relaxing childhood but there are also professional reasons for leaving this beautiful city. (Its all about ME)
In two weeks time, my exams will be over and I will cease to be a student, at least not full time. In my time here, I've met many a nice person. From Uni, from other Unis, not even studying in a Uni, or just plain not studying at all. From a variety of countries ranging from Asian nations like Japan, Taiwan, HK, Singapore, Indonesia, India etc to European nations (I can only recall someone from Germany, Switzerland and Poland so far) and the States. Of course, can't forget them Aussies. It has been enriching, for nowhere in Malaysia would I be able to meet as many as I have here.
The Australians, as a whole, know more about us in Asia (especially South East Asia) compared to the Americans, though that does not mean they understand us. There's also soooooo much good food here! *drools* Food from so many different countries, available so easily from restaurants, at a price that won't kill your wallet, I will definitely miss this part of life here. Especially the Japanese food... *dreaming of those divine Una-ju*
Most importantly, I'll be missing the friends who will be staying on here or going back to their own country (other than Kuala Lumpur). These people are the ones who have made my stay here so enjoyable and created so much memories that I shall treasure for the rest of my life. So God bless you guys!
On another note, the exams aren't over yet so I'll just go back to lamenting the need to study for exams while trying to remember and understand more about International Finance and Auditing...
