UNite for Children, UNite against AIDS

I stumbled across the Unicef Malaysia website while doing some research for work. This is one of the two currently active campaigns run by them and I think it is a cause worthy of support because sadly, there still are many in the world today who discriminate against child carriers of the HIV virus or AIDS due to mis-information or ignorance.

While I have no personal experience with someone known to have HIV or AIDS, but I have known someone (due to my young age then I can only guess) who might have been infected due to drug usage. These people really do suffer because of their condition and inability to fight against even the most harmless of viruses.

You may think, well, they took it upon themselves by the choices they have made. Well, the children did not make these choices, yet they suffer the same. They are denied certain choices in life due to a condition they have not asked for, if we want to ask of them of the restraint and care in dealing with their feelings and open wounds, we should afford them the respect and help to do so. Don't you think?
