This is the second time I've been to the movies this month (excluding the French movie in HK -Lady Chatterley at Palace IFC- , which if I include would actually make it three movies in a month...). So I've officially broke all my records on absolute absenteesm from the movie theatre...
The movie that I went to see, if not already obvious to you, is Definitely, Maybe. A romantic comedy starred by Ryan Reynolds, according to my friend, also one of the leads in Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. I think... =p
Its about this dad in NYC who is forced by his daughter to tell all about his romantic history after a sex education class in school. I absolutely loved the little girl and how frank she is about things. She's such an absolute darling and sooo funny or at least her lines are. The bits at the beginning where she goes on and on about the penis and vagina and why are some kids an accident was just hilarious.
One of the classic moments is also definitely, maybe (pun intended) the part where Maya realises how complicated adult relationships can be and countdowns the parts where her dad was with Summer but April liked dad, and when dad likes April, April is with Kevin, and so on.
Overall, I liked the movie, its sweet yet not saccharine, its full of humour and just right in length. Best of all, it doesn't leave me wondering or wanting a different ending.
