I met Chor for lunch yesterday before my brother's graduation. We went to this little pub (pubs often have the cheapest food in Sydney) on Pitt St at the side of The Galleries Victoria. The Fish & Chips were pretty interesting, it only had batter on one side of the fish. The portion was fairly well sized so I was understandably stuffed from lunch.
On another note, Chor looks visibly rounder in the belly already, I wonder if its the result of moving to Sydney or the result of having a girlfriend? He seems to be working late quite a bit on the week I was there (got a call from him at 11pm from the office) so maybe working in audit in Australia isn't such a greener grass situation after all?
Today I got a visit from the annoying Loong Loong and Matthew. Well ok, he's not that annoying and his name is Kit Loong without the extra Loong. After he is done buttering up my mum for a bit we headed off to dinner. Ok ok I won't be so mean, he actually got my mum to say the most stuff out of everyone of our friends in Sydney during this trip, so he must have had some practice with the elders if you ask me. =p
But before that, sis and I got Matthew to do some porter boy work while we shopped. Pssst, did I tell that I managed to get a pair of those Pumas I mentioned earlier in my size?! They are 10 dollars more than at Hype DC but well worth the price if I can't find it at 3 different Hype stores. hehe! Sis got a pair too that are seriously bling-worthy.
After the exhilirating find, we went down to Mother Chu's for some Soya Bean and Yu Tiao before heading to Market City to hunt for souvenirs. Well, my sister was hunting for them, not me, I've bought enough souvenirs from Sydney to last my friends a lifetime I would think.
In any case, souvenir hunting over, rest in apartment over, we headed out to this Korean BBQ restaurant in a tiny lane off Pitt Street where we waited for about an HOUR before we managed to get a table... goodness, is this place popular or what? Luckily, we had Loong to entertain us with all his silly comments and stories while waiting out the hour, otherwise, hmmm we could have been bored to death? (If hunger did not kill first...)
Waiting aside, the food was actually pretty good and many thanks from all of us for treating us to dinner Loong. (if you read this ever)
We were suppose to head uptown to Max Brenner after dinner but sis and Loong got hooked on Bad Boys 2 so no chocolates for me... =(
A little disappointed that my last night in Sydney was to be spent half watching a movie I don't really have interest in watching but am happy to have spent the time chatting with Loong since he was always (in)conveniently busy or otherwise engaged whenever I asked him out when he was back in KL...
