The Forbidden Kingdom

Today, I went for a movie at 1Utama with my sis, godbrothers and all related girlfriends/wife. It was a very last minute thing, but we got good seats anyways thanks to their endless patience. =)

The leads in the movie are none other than Jackie Chan and Jet Li, two of the most famous Asian movie stars in the world. When one sees Jackie's name listed, you usually know what to expect by now. He made the mesh of action and humour into a mainstream money pulling genre in movies and the most amazing thing is, he's managed to crossover to Hollywood with the very same formula and has been successful thus far.

So, me, having went into the movie theatre not knowing what to expect because other than those two actors, I know nothing else about the movie and have not even read the synopsis.

And, I wasn't disappointed at all. All in all it was a great movie, the action sequences were as good as you'd expect from master choreographer Jackie and the humour injected at intervals were really very funny, Jackie style... so I'd say this is a must see!

I think... Jackie Chan's movies will definitely go down in history as classics, not only because he invented the genre, but also because he has continually strove for and achieved excellence in making exactly that type of movie.
